Hello everyone!

I know that packaging options have been a topic of discussion in the Etsy Community, so I’m pleased to introduce my new eco-friendly jewelry packaging pictured above.

My new jewelry boxes are made from recycled content and are 100% recyclable.  The new jewelry pouches found inside the boxes are made from smooth finish nylon satin-weave pouch. If you receive one of the new jewelry boxes, please join our effort by recycling the new boxes wherever you recycle regular paper. Or keep it!  While the pouches can’t be  recycled, you can reuse them for storage or traveling.

You’ll receive this new packaging instead of the brown Kraft paper box.

I’d love to hear what you think about our new jewelry packaging on this forum. Please feel free to start sharing your comments with me.

Thank you!

Below you will find tried and tested methods to measure your ring size, however, if at anypoint things get a bit technical or you feel unsure in any way, please contact me at: mariaburgosalicea@gmail.com ; I’ll be  happy to walk you through any concerns you may have.  Plastic ring sizers are available with your ring purchase.

Measuring a Ring you Already Own

1. Select a ring that properly fits the intended finger
2. Measure the INSIDE diameter of the ring
3. Match the measurement to the conversion chart table. If the ring falls between two sizes, we advise you to order the larger of the two sizes.

Please note:
Rings with a particularly thick band will feel tighter than a thin band; in these cases, we recommend buying a half size larger than your normal ring size.

Tips on Measuring your Ring Finger

Your ring should fit your finger comfortably; it should of course be snug enough so that it will not fall off, but loose enough to slide over your knuckle.

Please note: Your finger size can change throughout the day, so it is a good idea to measure at the end of the day when your fingers are at their largest. Do not measure when your hands are cold; your fingers will be at least half a size smaller.

Buying a Ring as a Gift

The best way – but not always the easiest way – is to borrow his or her ring (from the correct finger) and measure the inside

diameter and use the conversion table  to determine its size.

I made this ring for a special client.  This ring features a black knight druzy quartz which is bezel set in 14kt gold . The textured surface of this stone is the showcase of this hand crafted ring and the subtle glimmer is mesmerizing. The solid sterling silver band holds the 20mm stone. This ring is truly elegant and is sure to draw a lot of attention.

I could make one for you too !!

BTW this ring was featured on Etsy’s Front Page yesterday !!

February Birthstone – Amethyst

According to legend, amethyst originated when Bacchus, the God of Wine, grew angry at mortals.  He vowed the next mortal that crossed his path would be eaten by tigers. At that time, a beautiful young maiden named Amethyst was on her way to worship the Goddess Diana. Diana, knowing of Bacchus vow, turned Amethyst into a pillar of colorless quartz to protect her from the tigers. Bacchus, witnessing the miracle, repented and poured wine over Amethyst, staining her purple.
